skateboard part and
skateboard part
Guzman skateboard part santa cruz has been real busy lately, finishing
up filming for the krux video (I heard he and Nestor share the last part!),
and filming hard for an upcoming Hot Wheels segment in 411 (issue 67?). He is
moving back to downtown Silicon Valley soon, to the renowned 6th street mansion.
Newly acquired advice from Eman: "Next time you're skating down the street and
you come across railroad tracks, don't get off your board like a pussy, take a
few pushes and ollie over em!"
Eman, Alex Moul, Sid Melvin, and a few other heads raged through Arizona
recently, filming and going to a contest. Watch for an upcoming Strange Notes
article, at strangenotes.com and playing soon in a skateshop near you. Nestor
Judkins met up with the crew down in L.A., and quickly wrecked himself jumping
down a double set, while everyone else drank Wild Turkey. He's okay though,
back in SJ filming lines in the street where he feels right at home.
Unfortunately, Locally, the Gray Squirrel, Ryan Gray, have recently
parted ways. Squirrel has decided to concentrate on school and work, and leave
the pressures of sponsored skateboarding behind--at least for now. We still
got your back though Squirrel! And we wish you the best of luck on whatever
road you choose--you got it holmes!
Also, this opens a slot on the SC am team...Who's it gonna be!?
We are starting a new division! It's called the Veterans Division, and
we'd like to welcome the first two pros, Eric Dressen and Tom Knox. Veterans
Division will feature wider shapes in various construction options, broadening
even more the staggering variety of skateboard decks that SC offers.
More info and boards coming very soon!
Watch for Nestor, Squirrel and Emmanuel, and even the team manager
Jesse Erickson, in the new Krux video "Blown Out". It should be out early this
summer, and features the entire Krux team. I heard Emmanuel has the last
part...watch out, fools.
Also, keep your ears peeled for news about new pros, because rumor has it that we've been scoping the market for
possible additions to the pro team.
Stacy Lowery is back in his home of Long Beach, where he plans to stay for a
while--except for a trip to the Tampa Pro contest in March, where he's sure to
put it down.
